So I am not sure if I want to go both nights, but I kinda really do because they have different acts both nights but if I go even for one night I want to get a Royal Pavilion ticket, but I am super tempted to just go for the Kings Pavilion and then possibly splitting a hotel room with some friends.

Carpooling may also b something to consider for people interested. I'm only coming out of Ventura and a few of my friends are coming out of Simi. Depending on who is going and everyone's situations that may be something to consider.

Okie dokie. Picked up my King's Pavilion package for the event. Gives me plenty of time to work on my second costume for it now. Anyone else planning on going? My cousin and I will be there with some of our friends.

This will be my seventh year traveling all the way from Atlanta. I'm bringing my dear Lady for her 4th year, and am very excited because me dear friend, Count Libris (the fellow two and three years ago with all the gears and clock hands) will be joining us, as well!
I've done my Night Priestess and Silk Phoenix in years past. I'm just a bit in love with ombre dyeing silk...
I'm working up a new Feral Faerie costume for this year. And perhaps, if the dress I'm making for funsies turns out fancy enough, a new Medusa themed outfit, as well!

Oh wow, I am quite jealous. This is my first year making it to the ball, I've been trying for the last 6 years and something always fell through, but this year I lucked out. I will be traveling from just a few hours north with my lady mother, and the sister of my soul (my cousin). I have a whole closet of costumes, but I am working on a surprise for this year. I will be bringing the garden fairy out of retirement for the event and my new project as well. This is the biggest social event on my calendars each year.

I am so excited. I have to fix up my garden fairy a bit and add some new accessories still but I am about 1/2 way done with my costume for saturday night too. I can't wait to finish it and share it with everyone....So has anyone else decided to join in the festivities in August?

I'm currently in the long and arduous process of doing the dye painting technique for the bottom of my new Poisonous Plants Faerie dress. If all goes according to plan (and how often does that happen) the dress will look like a black henbane flower!

Okay, please forgive the crappy photo, but this was a "make sure all the costume pieces fit together" test. In the picture, I'm missing makeup, ears, fancy shoelaces, "tattoos", hairstyle and, of course, glitter! Those have all been tested, individually.

My Poisonous Plants Faerie is done!!!!

I'm so excited, and I'm REALLY pleased at how the wings turned out. Those were nothing but experiment from beginning to end. AND, they'll fold down and fit in my carry-on luggage! Now I just have to contain my impatience until it's time to leave Atlanta, and head West to Sypher's Realm!

I agree, those wings are amazing! The whole outfit is so well put together http://i.imgur.com/fcfBcpz.gif
Hope to see you there! http://i.imgur.com/gHxkm6c.gif

I too am getting my costume revved up for the weekend. I'm planning a great feathered mask to match my wings http://i.imgur.com/fcfBcpz.gif

For all of those who are going in a couple of weeks, what are your plans?

I think I'll do general admission for Saturday, but possibly Friday as well http://i.imgur.com/fcfBcpz.gif I'll have to check my work schedule.

I took the Friday off work and have a VIP ticket for both nights. I will be staying at the hotel with Kasstle and my mother will be coming along this year as well since she loves this type of event.

I know Niox will be there Saturday night as well - general admission.

I am also contemplating bringing one of my mermaid tails down to take a swim in the pool with some other mermaids.

I have tickets for both nights, though no VIP, this year. I'm staying at the Biltmore, too.

One night I'll be in my new Poisonous Plants Faerie. The other night, either my Silk Phoenix or my Night Priestess. The Phoenix packs easier, but the Night Priestess matches what the rest of my party is wearing, so I'm not sure...

I'm not sure which night we're going to do which, it'll be a group discussion.

(Although, I'm really excited/nervous, as on the Poison Faerie night, I'm going to be proposing to my girlfriend, just after "As the World Falls Down." EEEEeeeEEEeeeeeEEEEee....)
