I just thought I would pop up and make sure members are safe. For those who haven't seen what is going on the 6 fires down in southern California things are pretty bad for us Fae out this way. I am up in Ventura right next to where things started and our city is pretty damaged and still being evacuated in chunks. I know we have folks scattered throughout. For those in the area, please be safe and if you can let us know you are okay. For those fortunate enough to note be here, please send your thoughts, prayers, ect to those being effected. I know its gotten pretty bad in Simi, LA, Moorpark, Santa Paula, Ojai, and my own city.
Please everyone stay safe.

Hello everyone. I know life can get pretty crazy this time of year as many scramble to get the tree up and the lights, while shopping for the best deals, and finding the perfect wrapping paper for that special present. I am in a unique position where I am starting over with nothing holiday related this year and so I had a fun thought as I try to rebuild our holidays for my Mate and myself.
We are currently creating a Fae inspired Christmas/Yule decor for our home and I thought it might be fun for us to have a thread where we can post tutorials, photos, ideas, ect for fae inspired holiday decor, crafts, traditions, and more. What do you folks think?

Happy Halloween folks. Anyone doing anyone dressing up today? I am having a costume party on Friday for my birthday so my actual costume will be my abysinthe fairy for the party, but for work I went as kind of a casual Elf/Faerie with some faux suede leggings and my green fairy tunic w/ sash and tall boots. Left my hair mostly unbrushed so its all wavy and semi curly.

|"What should I bring to a Faerie festival?"|
This is a joyful occasion! Bring anything that you feel will enrich your experience! Perhaps a musical instrument, a hula hoop, a flower crown, or a piece of art that you would like to share.
Are costumes required?
Only folks that are working the event are required to wear costumes. Patrons do not have to dress up... however, dressing the part makes your experience more enjoyable! If you have no costume to wear, perhaps you'll find something you like at the vendor's area!
For those of you who really want to showcase their festive attire, we will have two costume contests during the event!
Drums, or other musical instruments
Poi, hoops, and flow arts gear
Warm clothes for the evening
An open mind
Costumes and whimsical attire
Do NOT bring:
Unauthorized amplified sound
Glitterbombs or confetti-bombs- Leave no trace that the faeries were ever here!
Still curious? Here is a link complete with photographs to my blog write-up covering last year’s festivities:https://myfaeriekingdom.wordpress.com/2016/...aeriefest-2016/

Did anyone else see that Faerie Magazine now has its own online website separate from the magazine's normal online store?https://faeriemagazine.com/
It is full of all kinds of fun content you usually find inside the magazine itself so I thought I might share it here for anyone who doesn't have a subscription to either the magazine or the newsletter.
